Chie Mihara is the founder and designer of the Alicante, Spain - based label of the same name. Born in Brazil to Japanese parents, Mihara launched the label in 2001 drawing on influences from her time spent in various places around the globe. She honed her skills at Junko Koshino in Japan, Sam & Libby in New York, and at Charles Jourdan in France.

The foundations of Chie Mihara are design, comfort, and quality. Without following any particular trends, Mihara still manages to be spot-on in her designs. The shoes are beguiling. Using rich, jewel tones in traditional fabrics and adding in elements of laser-cut design as well as unexpected details, Mihara creates shoes that are as unique as they are wearable. The shoes are easily recognizable by their cone shaped heels and round toes, but what makes them the ultimate must-have is that even the highest of the heels feel like they have cushions in their soles.
